It has been nearly 12 years since the Great East Japan Earthquake.
The exclusion zone in Fukushima's coastal region may give a strong impression
of a place where tragic events happened, but it is also a place where reconstruction
is steadily progressing. Confidence in Fukushima's produce has gradually
increased in recent years, both domestically and abroad; with countries
such as Taiwan and Thailand resuming food imports from Fukushima, the local
economy continues to grow.
As another year of the Covid-19 pandemic passes by,
there is still much optimism that a better future awaits us all if we are
willing to work towards it. This our objective. This is our hope.
This is Fukushima.
