It has been nearly 12 years since the Great East Japan Earthquake.
The exclusion zone in Fukushima's coastal region may give a strong impression
of a place where tragic events happened, but it is also a place where reconstruction
is steadily progressing. Confidence in Fukushima's produce has gradually
increased in recent years, both domestically and abroad, with countries
such as Taiwan and Thailand resuming food imports from Fukushima, the local
economy continues to grow. As another year of the Covid-19 pandemic passes by,
there is still much optimism that a better future awaits us all if we are
willing to work towards it. This our objective. This is our hope.
This is Fukushima.
