Fukushima. At nearly 14,000 square kilometers, it is the 3rd largest prefecture in all of Japan. It is a region rich with natural beauty, history and culture. Due to the volatile geologic nature of the entire country, it has also endured calamity. Despite the tragic events of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, the land and the people persevere. For this is a land that is much more than a news headline or a power plant that shares its name. To its residents, including many people from countries around the world, this is our home. This is Fukushima.
